PRESALE NOW OPEN — EXPECTED DISPATCH WEEK COMMENCING 14 SEPTEMBER 2026

Terms of service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply when you visit cardguardian.co.uk or purchase products directly from CardGuardian through our website.

Please read them before placing an order. By ordering from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About CardGuardian

CardGuardian

Email: hello@cardguardian.co.uk
Website: cardguardian.co.uk

“CardGuardian”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business operating cardguardian.co.uk.

These terms apply to purchases made directly through our website. Purchases made through eBay, Amazon or another marketplace may also be subject to that platform’s terms and procedures.

2. Who can place an order?

You must be legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order.

If you place an order on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business. These terms are primarily written for consumers. Business customers should contact us if separate commercial terms are required.

3. Our products

CardGuardian supplies protective acrylic display cases and related accessories for trading-card products.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, dimensions, photographs and prices are accurate. However:

  • Colours and transparency may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography and screen settings.

  • Small variations may occur between production batches.

  • Dimensions may be subject to reasonable manufacturing tolerances.

  • Product images may show trading-card boxes, trial decks, cards or other display items for illustration. These items are not included unless the product description expressly states otherwise.

Customers should check the product description and dimensions before ordering. Our cases are designed around the dimensions of the products identified in each listing and may not fit modified, damaged, unofficial, sleeved or differently sized versions.

Any minor variation that does not materially affect the product’s appearance, quality or intended function will not by itself make the product defective. This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, misdescribed or not fit for purpose.

4. Protective performance

Our acrylic cases are designed to help protect collectibles from handling, dust, dirt, minor knocks and exposure to ultraviolet light.

No protective case can guarantee complete protection. Unless expressly confirmed in the product description, our products are not:

  • Indestructible or impact-proof.

  • Completely waterproof, airtight or fireproof.

  • Climate-controlled.

  • Guaranteed to block all ultraviolet light.

  • Guaranteed to prevent fading, seal deterioration, ageing or loss of value.

The effectiveness of a case will depend on how it is handled, stored and maintained. Collectibles should be kept away from excessive heat, moisture, direct sunlight, unstable surfaces and other potentially damaging conditions.

CardGuardian does not guarantee the future condition, grading result, collectable value or resale value of any item placed inside one of our products. We are not responsible for market-price changes or loss caused by unsuitable storage, misuse, accidental damage or failure to follow reasonable care instructions.

Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

5. Product safety and care

Our acrylic cases are display and storage products, not toys.

Please:

  • Handle acrylic panels and lids carefully.

  • Do not use a case that is cracked, broken or has sharp edges.

  • Keep small magnets and detachable components away from babies and young children.

  • Keep magnets away from medical devices and items that may be affected by magnetic fields.

  • Place cases on a secure, level and stable surface.

  • Do not expose cases to flames, extreme temperatures or excessive moisture.

  • Use an appropriate soft cloth when cleaning acrylic.

Customers are responsible for using products safely and for following any instructions supplied with them.

6. Prices

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the website. Applicable taxes are included where required.

Delivery charges and any other applicable costs will be shown before you complete checkout.

We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders we have already accepted.

If a product is displayed with an obvious pricing or description error, we may contact you before dispatch and give you the option to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund. We will not charge a higher price without your agreement.

Promotional prices and discount codes may be subject to additional conditions and may be withdrawn or changed before an order is placed.

7. Placing an order

You are responsible for checking your order, delivery details and contact information before completing checkout.

After placing an order, you should receive an order-confirmation email. Please contact us if you do not receive one.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order before dispatch where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • The product is unavailable.

  • Payment cannot be authorised.

  • We reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or unlawful activity.

  • There is an obvious pricing or listing error.

  • We cannot deliver to the supplied address.

  • A purchase breaches an advertised quantity restriction.

If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the affected amount using the original payment method.

8. Payment

Payment is taken using the methods shown at checkout. Payments are processed by secure third-party payment providers.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method supplied. We are not responsible for delays caused by a bank, card issuer or payment provider.

Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full and delivered the goods. Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they are delivered into your physical possession or that of a person identified by you.

9. Pre-orders

A pre-order is an order for a product that is not yet ready for immediate dispatch.

The estimated dispatch or delivery period will be shown on the relevant product page wherever reasonably possible. By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge that:

  • Payment may be taken when the order is placed.

  • The stated date is a reasonable estimate based on the information available to us.

  • Manufacturing, freight, customs and circumstances outside our reasonable control may cause delays.

  • Products ordered together may be dispatched once all items are available unless we state otherwise.

We will provide an update if we become aware of a material delay. If a pre-order is significantly delayed, unavailable or cancelled by us, you may choose to continue waiting or cancel the affected item for a full refund.

You may request cancellation of a standard, non-personalised pre-order at any point before dispatch for a full refund. If it has already been dispatched, the normal cancellation and returns process will apply.

A product being sold as a pre-order does not remove any statutory cancellation or consumer rights.

10. Delivery

Available delivery methods, estimated times and charges will be shown at checkout.

Unless a different timeframe has been agreed with you, we will deliver within 30 days after accepting your order. A later timeframe shown and accepted for a pre-order forms part of the agreed delivery arrangements.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, severe weather, industrial action or other circumstances outside our reasonable control, but we will provide reasonable assistance where a delivery is delayed.

You must provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Contact us as quickly as possible if it needs changing. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once an order has entered processing or been dispatched.

If an order is returned because an incorrect address was supplied, delivery was refused or reasonable delivery attempts were unsuccessful, we may charge the reasonable cost of redelivery. This does not apply where the delivery problem was caused by us or our chosen courier.

For international orders, the customer may be responsible for local import duties, taxes and customs charges unless checkout states that these are included. CardGuardian does not control these charges.

11. Cancelling an order before dispatch

To request cancellation before dispatch, email hello@cardguardian.co.uk with your name and order number.

If the order has not been dispatched, we will cancel it and refund the payment. If it has already been dispatched, you may return it under the cancellation rights below.

12. Your right to cancel an online purchase

If you are a UK consumer, you normally have the right to cancel an online order without giving a reason.

The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods. For an order delivered in separate instalments, the period begins when the final item is received.

To cancel, you must clearly tell us before the cancellation period expires. You can:

After notifying us, you must return the goods within a further 14 days.

For a change-of-mind cancellation:

  • You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

  • We recommend using tracked and adequately insured delivery.

  • You are responsible for the goods until they reach us.

  • You should return all included parts and accessories.

  • Original packaging should be used where reasonably possible, but its absence does not automatically remove your cancellation rights.

You may inspect the product as you reasonably would in a shop. We may reduce a refund to reflect a loss in value caused by handling beyond what was necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.

13. Refunds following cancellation

When you validly cancel an order, we will refund:

  • The price paid for the returned goods; and

  • The cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, where applicable.

If you selected a more expensive delivery method, we are not required to refund the additional delivery cost.

We will issue the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after:

  • We receive the returned goods; or

  • You provide evidence that you sent them back, if earlier.

Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

14. Personalised and custom-made products

The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you.

This exception does not affect your rights if a personalised or custom product is faulty, damaged, misdescribed or not made according to the agreed specification.

Standard products and ordinary pre-orders are not treated as personalised merely because they were ordered in advance.

15. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

Goods supplied by CardGuardian must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their normal purpose.

If an item arrives damaged, faulty, incomplete or incorrect, contact hello@cardguardian.co.uk as soon as reasonably possible with:

  • Your order number.

  • A description of the issue.

  • Photographs where reasonably possible.

Providing photographs may help us resolve the matter quickly, but it does not replace or limit your statutory rights.

UK consumers normally have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of receiving them. Depending on the circumstances and the time that has passed, you may also be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed, CardGuardian will cover reasonable return costs. Do not dispose of a product before contacting us unless it presents an immediate safety risk.

Damage caused by accident, misuse, unsuitable storage, improper cleaning, unauthorised modification or normal wear and tear is not treated as a manufacturing fault.

16. Returns address

Please contact us before returning an item so we can identify the order and provide any necessary instructions.

Unless the item is faulty or we agree otherwise, we cannot accept responsibility for change-of-mind returns that are lost or damaged before reaching us.

17. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for:

  • Losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

  • Loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by you.

  • Loss caused by misuse, unsuitable storage or failure to follow product instructions.

  • Changes in the market, resale or collectable value of an item.

  • Business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption, where you purchased as a consumer.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • Breach of your statutory consumer rights.

  • Defective products where liability cannot legally be excluded.

  • Any other matter for which liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

18. Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, customs delays, supplier failure, industrial action, natural disaster, war, civil disturbance, epidemic, government action or major network failure.

We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the event and keep affected customers informed. Your legal rights relating to serious delays, non-delivery and cancellation remain unaffected.

19. Intellectual property

The CardGuardian name, logo, website design, product photography, graphics and original written content belong to CardGuardian or are used with permission. They may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission.

Palworld and other game, product and company names, artwork and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

  • Scrape or copy website content for commercial use without permission.

21. Personal information

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on cardguardian.co.uk.

22. Third-party services and links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use services operated by Shopify, payment providers, couriers and other organisations.

We are not responsible for the content or availability of unrelated third-party websites. Third-party providers may process information and provide services under their own terms and privacy policies.

23. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The terms that apply to an order are those in force when the order is placed. We will not make retrospective changes that materially disadvantage you in relation to an existing order.

24. If part of these terms is invalid

If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

If we delay enforcing a right, that does not mean we have waived it.

No person other than you and CardGuardian has a right to enforce the contract between us, except where the law provides otherwise.

25. Governing law

These terms and any contract between you and CardGuardian are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you retain the protection of any mandatory laws that apply where you live and may bring proceedings in your local courts.

International customers may also have mandatory consumer rights under the laws of their country that cannot be excluded by these terms.
